Twlight Maximum ride ch 1

“Oh yeah right you don’t know who we are!” the 15 year old girl shouted as she kicked Jacob hard in the gut.  She doubled it with a hard punch in the mouth and ended it with another kick but lower than the gut.  Jacob cussed and fell to the ground for a second and was right back up.
I was sitting on Edward’s lap and he looked worried.
“Max! Come on we need to go!” shouted a boy, Max’s age, who wore to much black to be a happy person.
“Fang, I’m busy right now! Take over for now and get out of here!” Max yelled back as she blocked a blow from Jake.
Fang didn’t reply and the five unfurled various colored wings of different sizes and kicked off the ground and flew south of here.
“Edward, why is this girl fighting Jake?” I asked him.
“Because she thinks he’s an eraser...I guess that erasers are like werewolves in a way...” he replied softly, he had a confused expression in his eyes.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” I asked.
“Her blood doesn’t smell normal, it’s more appealing and more bird-like... She is not human...not completely.  I’ve never seen this before, ever.”
Jasper came into the clearing and immediately his expression changed from calm to hard and furious.  “Jasper! Don’t you dare!” Edward growled.
“Her blood is to different, even the stench of this mutt isn’t enough to cover it,” Jasper muttered and walked over to us.
“Jasper, can you calm them both down?” I asked.  “I’d like to talk with her...” I added.
“I can try...” he replied and he looked at the fighting.  The two of them calmed down suddenly and Max was hanging in the air, close to kicking Jacob.  He touched down on the ground and looked at Jasper, she looked like she wanted to glare or attack him but he had her emotions to tight for her to react to it.
I stood from Edward’s lap and I walked over to them.  I put my hand on Jacob’ shoulder and he looked at me, he looked like he was going to be so mad when Jasper’s released him.  “Jacob, stop fighting please.  No one should be fighting right now,” I said and he nodded.  Jasper released him and he glared at him.  Jasper gave a frightening look which made Jake stop.
I looked at Max and she was looking at me.  She was released to but she was unsure of whether to fight or not.  “Max, right? I asked gently.  “Don’t worry we don’t want to fight.”
“What is he?” she asked.
“He is a werewolf and I’m surprise that you were able to do so much damage to him,” I said and looked at Jake as wounds healed quickly.  “It’s hard to do damage to Jake...not lasting damage anyway.”
“He’s a tough fighter, I’ll give him that.  Who are you people?” she asked glancing at my vampire brother and love.
“My name is Bella, I’m 18 and Those are my brother, and my love. Jasper and Edward,” I replied.
“Ok, and as of the strange emotion control, who did that?” she asked irritated.
“That was Jasper, he has the abili8ty to control and feel peoples emotions,” I replied and lead her towards them.  “Come on, you can meet them now.”
Edward looked at Max cautiously, Jasper backed away.
“Jasper, self control, test yourself,” Edward muttered so quietly Max and I couldn’t hear.  Jasper nodded but stayed back.
“Max, this is jasper, and this is Edward,” I said and she nodded.
“Hi...” she said and Edward grinned kindly.  I knew he was reading her mind and something in it amused him.
“Don’t worry, you don’t need to flee,” he said and I glared at him.
“How...?” she wondered and she was more cautious.  She unfurled her wings to their full length as if ready to bolt.
“I can read minds.”
“Oh...” she said.
It all happened so fast.
Jasper freaked out and he was in one place one second and the next he was biting Max’s arm. Her eyes widened as she screamed and fell to the ground and screamed louder and higher.
Jasper stayed at her arm and seemed to cry as he fed on her.  Edward had him off of her faster than I thought possible and he was dragging Jasper away just as the group of kids came back.  Edward was still gone, probably fighting Jasper to the house and the oldest of the bird group came straight at me and tackled me to the ground, I hit my head on a tree behind me and was barely able to stay conscious.  Jacob had left a while ago so I was alone with the bird kids.
“Max! What’s wrong!?” screamed the black girl.
“She was bitten,” I barely mumbled.  The oldest boy turned back to me from Max and pulled me off the ground.  
“What happened to her?” he demanded glaring at my face.
“Jasper bit her...vampire,” I mumbled before I couldn’t say more.  I wasn’t unconscious but it felt like speaking was the worst thing to do now.  Plus I was loopy and couldn’t think straight.
He dropped me and went back to Max.  Edward came back and he was at my side in barely even an instant.  The two oldest boys were busy with Max but the littlest one was staring at me and Edward.
“Edward and Bella,” she asked and stepped toward us.  “What happened to Max?” she asked in a small brave voice.
“She was bitten by my brother, I took him back to the house and scolded him, he is now in his room beating himself up for losing control,” Emmett came into the picture and was next to me in a second.  “Don’t worry about the girl.”
“She’s turning into a vampire!  How can we not worry?” shouted the black wearer bitterly.  “How can we fix this!?”
“You can’t I’m sorry,” Edward said staring at Max.
I sat up and used Edward for support.  “I couldn’t say anything but I cried silently while watching Max scream.
